    Rooted Creativity combines a research-based conversation about what our brains actually need to think creatively with a hands-on succulent terrarium experience. As participants build each layer, we explore things like space, boundaries, resilience, practice, connection, and what those ideas look like in our work and everyday lives. Everyone leaves with a finished terrarium, but also with a new way of thinking about creativity and how to make more room for it.

  • Sometimes you don’t need another team-building exercise. You just need a chance to sit down together, make something, and have a genuinely good time.

    These beginner-friendly workshops are designed so that everyone can be successful, even the person who insists they aren’t creative. I bring everything needed and guide the group through a beautiful project like mosaics, pressed flower art, seasonal pieces, and more.

    It’s relaxed, social, easy to customize for your group, and everyone leaves with something they’re actually excited to take home.

    Best for: staff appreciation, holiday parties, client events, employee groups, retreats, and just-because team gatherings

  • Instead of everyone making something to take home, the entire group creates one piece together.

    Each person contributes a small part to a larger design, like a mosaic, textile piece, or custom artwork inspired by your organization. By the end, all of those individual contributions become one finished piece that can live in your office or shared space.

Why Lisa?

Dr. Lisa Skultety holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and spent years teaching, leading STEM programs, and designing curriculum before founding Persistently Present. She has spoken to audiences ranging from local organizations to national conferences and has facilitated professional development for more than a decade. That means your team gets someone who actually knows how to run a room, not just someone who knows how to craft.

What to Expect

Location: your office, a rented venue, or a conference space, wherever works for your team

What is included: all supplies, setup, instruction, and cleanup. Your team shows up and everything else is handled.
