Create your own glowing piece of lunar-inspired art!
In this hands-on workshop, you'll transform a 12-inch framed wood round into a dimensional, illuminated moon. We'll use lightweight sculpting material and simple tools to build craters, texture, and all those wonderfully imperfect details that make the moon's surface so interesting.
Then we'll add warm LED lighting around the edge to bring our moon to life. The light catches the raised surface and craters, creating a fun glow and dramatic shadows. The process itself is beginner-friendly: the basic technique involves covering the surface with foam clay, then building and blending individual craters with a ball stylus.
Your finished moon is approximately 12 inches across and can be displayed on the included easel or hung on the wall at home. All materials and guided instruction included.
Adults and kids ages 7+ welcome. No experience needed.
