Make Your Own Seasonal Kinusaiga Art | Algonquin | Nov 22 at 5 pm
Sunday, November 22 | 5 pm
Village Vintner
2380 Esplanade Dr, Algonquin, IL 60102
Join us for a fun evening of creativity at Village Vintner as you create your own framed Kinusaiga artwork. Sometimes described as "painting with fabric," Kinusaiga is a beautiful Japanese-inspired art form that uses fabric instead of paint to build a colorful, textured design.
No sewing and no experience needed. You’ll use a simple fabric-tucking technique to transform small pieces of fabric into a finished 8” x 8” framed piece you’ll be excited to take home.
Choose from four designs, so you have the right degree of difficulty for you to enjoy the night:
Moth
Cardinal
Christmas Lights
Pumpkin
I’ll provide everything you need, including your prepared art board, a wide selection of fabrics, tools, and step-by-step instruction. You’ll have plenty of freedom to choose your own colors and fabrics, so every finished piece will be completely unique.
Worried that you can’t decide, and maybe you want to make another one at home?
For this workshop, you’ll have the option to purchase a Make-at-Home Kinusaiga Kit. Choose another design, fill your kit with the fabrics you want to use, and take home the tools you worked with during class. You’ll leave with everything you need to keep creating at home!
Whether you're looking for a creative night out, a chance to unwind, or an opportunity to try something new, this workshop offers a welcoming space to slow down, create, and connect.
All materials included. Beginner friendly.
Ticket Price: $45
